This wonderful Porcelain Hinged Box (PHB) figurine celebrates "Birthday Wishes Barbie", and it is the first in a Series.  This hand-decorated, fine glazed porcelain was limited to the year of issue (2000), and is now retired.

This lovely Barbie figurine is dressed in a sweet pink and white Birthday dress, replicating the dress from the first Birthday Wishes Barbie doll which was released in 1999.  The dropped-waist bodice of the dress has a V-shaped white panel that is decoratively painted with flowers and trimmed with 2 lines of gold paint on either side.  The dress has a dramatic sash around the waist, and it is decorated with a real pale-pink satin pleated ribbon trim which is attached to the back of the figurine. 

The round base of the Porcelain Hinged Box is decorated with a pink Barbie logo and the words "Birthday Wishes".  The metal rim, hinge and clasp are platinum-colored, and the top metal rim around the base has a Barbie circle "B" logo attached to the front of the rim.  The base opens to reveal the pink and white Barbie logo on the inside bottom of the box.  The special surprise tucked inside this figurine is an adorable tiny cupcake with one candle.  The cupcake  "wrapper" is painted pale-pink, the "frosting" is white, and the top of the cupcake is decorated with a pale-pink flower and green leaves clustered around the candle.

This lovely Barbie figurine is dressed in an elegant pale-pink evening gown, replicating the dress from the vintage Barbie fashion originally released in 1960.  The figurine's lovely dress has a form-fitting sheath accented with a flowing train.  Other decorative details include an elegantly styled high ponytail, a 3-strand pearl choker, long white evening gloves, and tiny open-toed white pumps which have been ornamented with 3 dots of gold paint on each shoe.  The most striking elements of her ensemble are a real faux-fur white stole which is attached around her shoulders, and a delicate pale-pink satin rose attached at her waist.

This lovely Barbie figurine is dressed in an elegant white wedding dress, replicating the dress from the vintage Barbie fashion originally released in 1960.  The lovely wedding dress is sleeveless with a sweetheart bodice, and accented with a pretty pearl necklace.  The full skirt is patterned with tracings of dainty flowers etched in the porcelain, and it is decorated in the back of the waist with a white porcelain bow.  She carries a pretty floral bouquet of pink and white flowers, and real pink and white bouquet strings hang down from the bouquet.  She also wears a pretty pearl necklace, and a striking real white veil made of two layers of delicate white netting is attached to her pearl tiara.
