The Peace Silver Dollar is
commonly believed to be one of the most attractive coins ever minted by the United States
. Minted between 1921 and 1935, the Peace dollar is made from 90% silver, 10%
copper, weighs approximately 26.73 grams and measures 38.1 mm in diameter. As can be seen in the photo at left, this coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Our coins are from 1922, 1923, and 1924, although we usually don't keep all three years in stock at the same time. If you have a preference for one specific year, please include it in the "Comments" section of the order page, otherwise, we'll pick the year at random. Coins from years other than 1922-1924 can be special ordered. The Susan B. Anthony Dollar was only produced
during 1979, 1980, 1981 (for collectors only), and again in 1999. The public
universally hated this coin because it could be easily mistaken for a quarter. This means that the Susan B. Anthony dollar will become even more scarce than it already is! In 1999, the U.S. Mint made additional Susan B. Anthony Dollars to make up for an anticipated shortfall before the Sacagawea Dollars were ready. As part of this minting, a number of Proof versions were also minted. This is the 1999 Proof Susan B. Anthony Dollar, which comes in an attractive presentation case. OUT OF STOCK |

The Sacagawea Dollar
became first available in 2000. This coin is in Brilliant
Uncirculated Condition.
The coin's physical makeup is a three-layer
composite construction - pure copper sandwiched between and
metallurgically bonded to outer layers of manganese brass. This alloy is a
golden-colored material composed of: 77%
copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese, and 4% nickel. Including
the copper core, the Golden Dollar's overall composition is: 88.5% copper,
6.0% zinc, 3.5% manganese, and 2% nickel. |
