The Bengal Cat and Kitten. This coin is the fifteenth of the series, and it has a picture of a Bengal cat and her adorable kitten on the back of the coin, and a picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the front.

The Bengal cat is a unique breed of spotted domestic cat.  It was developed to combine the look of the wild Asian Leopard Cat with the temperament of the domestic cat.  It is a large and muscular breed with a triangle shaped head and almond shaped yellow or amber eyes, plus a distinctive coat which has darker markings contrasting with a lighter background color.

Tame, if not entirely serene, today's Bengal is intelligent, curious and entertaining, enjoying the company of both adults and children, and adopting well to other family pets.

This coin is CuNi (Cupro Nickel) in a Brilliant Uncirculated minting.  The contrast in the photo at left was enhanced to show the striking coin detail.
