This spectacular doll portrays the charming Aurora from the family classic Disney animated movie "Sleeping Beauty".    This movie was Disney's most ambitious animated masterpiece when it was released in 1959. 

Here's a summary of the story:  In the 14th century, an evil witch named Maleficent tells a king and queen that their infant Aurora will fatally prick her finger on a spinning wheel before sundown on her 16th birthday.  Aurora is affianced to Prince Philip when they are both children.  Then Aurora is renamed "Briar Rose", and she is hidden in the forest and protected by 3 bumbling fairies named Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather until her 16th birthday. The fairies make a special dress for her birthday, and one of the most amusing scenes in the movie is when they fight over whether her dress should be Pink or Blue.  On her 16th birthday, Aurora meets Prince Phillip in the woods without knowing that he is her fiancé, falls in love with him, and then has to leave him to go back to her parents.  Maleficent's evil prophecy comes true when Aurora pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and falls into a deep sleep.  Prince Phillip comes to rescue Aurora, and he does battle with the malevolent Maleficent while she is in the guise of a dragon. Prince Phillip kills Maleficent, kisses Aurora to wake her from her deep sleep, and they live happily ever after!

This lovely doll is the "Royal Holiday Edition" that was released in 2003 for a limited time during the Holiday season.  Aurora is dressed in a lovely purple and gold version of her signature royal gown.  Her spectacular purple satin gown is trimmed with lovely faux-fur accents. 

Aurora has a lovely smiling face, with large blue-violet eyes, real eyelashes, and pink lipstick on her closed mouth.  Her long blonde hair is straight with bangs in the front, and she wears a beautiful faux-fur headband.  For jewelry, she wears faux-gold post earrings, the broach at her neckline, and a small faux-brass key around her left wrist.

Aurora is in mint condition, and has never been removed from her excellent condition box.   Aurora also comes with a special stand made just for her, and it has a round base decorated with a gold label engraved with the name "Aurora".  She also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Aurora is a large doll, at approximately 16 inches tall.  She is in mint condition, and has never been removed from her excellent condition box.   Aurora comes with a special purple stand made just for her, and it has a round base decorated with pink ribbons and the name "Aurora".  She also comes with an instruction sheet describing how to insert her into her stand, and a certificate with instructions for registering your doll and receiving a Certificate of Authenticity.

This beautiful doll portrays Snow White as a ballerina, and she is dressed in an exquisite ballerina tutu gown.  Snow White's fitted bodice is made of light-blue satin brocade with her trademark red and blue satin pouf sleeves.  The bodice is accented with a band of blue satin along the top, which is covered with a layer of see-thru white chiffon that flares upwards into a gold-edged ruffle around her neck.   Her bodice neckline has a small red rose atop a red satin ribbon bow, with additional small red roses along the gold trim lines near her waist, plus one large red satin rose at her waist.  Her dramatically poufed tutu skirt is made with an overskirt of white ruffled chiffon that is edged in gold, and this overskirt is above 2 layers of yellow tulle netting.  Her skirt is accented with clear shimmering sequins and tiny gold beads, with additional small red roses scattered along the middle of her skirt.  She wears white cotton pantalets under her gown.    Snow White stands on her toes in yellow ballet slippers that are painted on her feet, and she is standing gracefully in a classic ballet position with her arms outstretched towards her waist.

Snow White has a serene smiling face, with lovely hazel brown eyes, real eyelashes, and red lipstick on her closed mouth.  Her long black hair is worn atop her head in Snow White's signature hairstyle, and she wears a pretty gold tiara decorated with red and blue flowers.
