The playset includes a battery-operated train with a locomotive and one car featuring a Mickey drum, plus a 4-piece train track that snaps together so that Mickey's train can circle the castle while it plays music. The train can either continue around the track or it can stop at each turn to make the other attractions move around when a switch is flipped on the train track. The Tea Cups ride spins around when activated by the train, and the Disneyland Train Station has a bird that spins and a clock that turns when activated by the train. You can also purchase the "Dumbo the Flying Elephant" playset and "Peter Pan's Flight" playset below, and they can be added to the track to be spun around when activated by the train.
The playset comes with 6 small plastic characters -- Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), plus a boy and a girl tourist characters who are both wearing Mickey Mouse ears. The characters fit into the seats of the rides so they can ride around on the rides, and the front of the castle includes a drawer to store all the characters so they won't get lost.
This playset is recommended for ages 4+, although we know from our own experience that it can be played with by a 3-year-old child under supervision. The playset requires 1 AA battery and 3 AAA batteries, which are not included.
This is a really fun playset which is one of Maddy's favorite toys, because she absolutely loves Disneyland and this playset allows her to relive the magic of Disneyland every time she plays with it. We highly recommend this playset for your little Disney fan, based on our own experience with Maddy!
